| Soilless mixes are used for hydroponic as well as organic gardening. Promix is a mixture of sphagnum moss, perlite, vermiculite, dolomite lime ( to stabilize the pH) and a wetting agent for even water absorption. Promix comes in two different mixes; BX or HP. The BX has equal amounts of perlite and vermiculite while the HP has less vermiculite and more perlite, resulting in a "lighter" faster draining mixture. We usually recommend BX for hand watered gardens and HP is recommended for automated watered systems.
